We encourage all therapists interested in obtaining the EABCT Accreditation Certificate through PABCT to submit applications together with the necessary credentials. PABCT will be accepting applications until June 10, 2010. After that date, the deadlines are the same as for the PABCT Certificate application. The rules and conditions for obtaining EABCT Accreditation Certificate are defined by the PABCT Statute: 1. Any regular PABCT member may apply for European Association For Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies Accreditation Certificate through PABCT who: a) Is a certified PABCT Cognitive-Behavioral psychotherapist; b) Has been using the cognitive-behavioral therapy as a main psychotherapeutic approach in his or her psychotherapeutic practice since receiving the PABCT certificate; c) Continues education, improves clinical skills in cognitive-behavioral therapy, and submits his or her therapeutic practice to regular supervision; d) Has paid all PABCT membership fees since receiving the PABCT certificate, including the dues for the year in which the EABCT Accreditation Certification application is submitted; e) Pays the EABCT accreditation fee in the amount of 250 PLN. 2. A person applying for PABCT certificate should send the application form along with the necessary credentials to the PABCT office address. 3. The certificate of Cognitive Behavioral Therapist of PABCT and EABCT will be granted by the Board of Directors only after a positive recommendation of the application and additional credentials are received from the Committee of Science and Didactics, providing the applicant declares to adhere to the Code of Ethics for a cognitive behavioral therapist. We would like to point out that at this time only three associations out of 35 regular institutional members of EABCT hold the Accredited Member status. These are the German Professional Association for Behavior Therapy, the Polish Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies and the Greek Association for Behavioral Modification and Research.
We would like to invite you to join the General Meeting of PABCT that will be held after the conference on July 4th, 2010. With kind regards, Board of Directors |
